If you're a canny shopper (and know where to look), you can read a lot of books for completely free, as some classics are available through platforms like Project Gutenberg. However, most of those downloadable classics come in the EPUB file type. Luckily, with a little know-how on your side, you can easily render EPUB files readable on Kindle devices.

AZW3 format is a variation of AZW and also known as KF8 (Kindle Format 8). It has been released in 2011 when the Kindle fire was launched for the first time. As the Amazon's successor to AZW format, it not only supports most of the HTML5 and CSS3 but also improves the eBook's formatting capabilities. Since it is the exclusive format of Amazon, AZW3 file can only be read on Kindle related devices and softwares. If you don't have a Kindle device, how can you read your AZW3 books? Are there any free readers that you can download to open azw3 ebooks?

Then run it on your computer, sign in with your Amazon account. In the library you will see all your books. Just double-click the book cover to start downloading the ebook. Once the book has been downloaded, you can see them in "Downloaded". Now click the book cover and start reading.

Kindle for PC/Mac is just used for readers to read and manage books on computer. But here Kindle Previewer is a little bit different. It helps us preview how books display when delivered to Kindle devices and Kindle apps. So the authors, publishers and eBooks service providers will choose to use Kindle Previewer to preview their books before publish their eBooks. So we could even say that Kindle for PC/MAC is designed for eBooks readers, while the kindle previewer is made for eBooks publishers.

Calibre, as a powerful ebook management tool, is not only a free ebook converter, but also a perfect ebook reader. It supports nearly all the major ebook formats, including azw3. Since Calibre can only open DRM-free eBooks, you have to remove DRM from Kindle AZW3 before adding the AZW3 files to Calibre. You can download the Epubor Ultimate mentioned at the beginning of this article to decrypt your AZW3 files. Once DRM-free AZW3 ebook has been added to Calibre, you can double click the cover to start reading.

After conversion, Amazon KDP will offer the option of downloading your book and a previewer to run on either Windows or Mac. Though not perfect, this Kindle Previewer provides the best look you can get at your book without seeing it on actual Kindles. The Previewer can also be downloaded at>.

You can start with one of the free desktop Kindles for Windows or Mac, available at Once installed, these apps will open your book automatically when you just double-click it.

KindleUnpack requires some version of the Python software language to be installed on your computer. Macs already have it. For Windows, you can download free versions from either of these locations, among others: and

You can convert EPUB to MOBI with a browser-based conversion tool (like CloudConvert), downloadable software (or Calibre), or a full eBook service that includes file format conversion (like BookBaby).

The one biggest setback to Calibre is its ability to handle DRM (Digital Rights Management). In order to handle Kindle and other DRM protected files, you must first download an additional plugin.

To use KCC to create mobi files, it requires KindleGen, an old utility command line program provided by Amazon for publishers to help them create ebooks to sell on Amazon. It is currently discontinued. This makes KCC mostly unusable if you want to create mobi files for older kindles. Even if you get an old download of KindleGen off, it is only a 32-bit executable, which makes it unusable on Mac OS Catalina and above. Amazon now provides kindle previewer which mostly does the same (and more) as KindleGen but in a nicer GUI. But KindlePreviewer is not made specifically for manga/comics so KCC might be more useful based on your requirements.

Several desktop MOBI converters are available as a free download. One of the best is Calibre. Caliber not only converts ePub to MOBI, but it also converts every ebook format into whatever ebook format you want. Plus, Calibre works on Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.

A couple of days ago, I found myself needing to create book sample in mobi format. To this end, Amazon used to provide a standalone command-utility called kindlegen. Being a command-line app made it easy to integrate with shell script and other utilities, such as pandoc. kindlegen also allowed you to compile Kindle books directly from Scrivener.

KPF (Kindle Package Format) is a variant of KFX, the format that enables Enhanced Typesetting. Amazon's Kindle Create and Kindle Textbook Creator software have produced this format for some time. The KFX Output plugin for calibre is capable of converting KPF format into KFX that can be sideloaded to kindle apps and devices, a feature that Amazon does not currently provide.

I am currently doing online publishing but I have one big issue. All the video I put in my presentation can be downloaded by the viewer. Is it or will it be possible to not allow that as I don't people having access to these videos except from be able to view them on my presentation. 350c69d7ab
